A Baroque monastery complex known as "the European pearl of Baroque" — the basilica dazzles with ornamentation, frescoes and sculpture, with paintings by Michael Willmann inside. Part of the complex houses the Mausoleum of the Piasts of Świdnica, with marble sarcophagi.

Hours / prices: Open daily 9:00–17:00, mass at 12:00, tickets at the box office by the monastery.

A former spa town nicknamed "the Silesian Davos", today drawing artists and people seeking peace. The historic Sanatorium Grunwald (featured in a work by Olga Tokarczuk), a small cinema, the Palmiarnia Café, and a viewpoint on the ruins of Zamek Radosno.

Hours / prices: Most events (a film festival, exhibitions) take place in July and August. Palmiarnia Café usually open 10:00–18:00.

An impressive Art Nouveau building from 1911, a relic of the former grandeur of Szczawno-Zdrój — it once hosted Kaiser Wilhelm II and a young Winston Churchill, among others. Today it houses an NFZ sanatorium, but you're welcome to step into the lobby or restaurant.
